About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Provide patient care under the direction of a Registered Nurse
Set up and maintain the surgical field
Assist the surgeon during operative procedures
Assist in meeting surgery department goals and initiatives, including room turnover and first-case on-time starts
Assist in training and orientation of associates as directed by the Clinical Educator
Maintain a safe environment for the patient
Maintain sterile techniques

Requirements

What you’ll need

Graduate of a surgical technology program
Certificate of surgical technology through the NBSTSA or NCCT, or graduate of a school of practical nursing
If a graduate of a school of practical nursing, current license in good standing to practice as a practical nurse in the State of Ohio
BLS healthcare provider training required
On-call rotation required
