About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Fill short- and long-term assignments throughout the health system as part of FirstChoice, Trinity Health’s mobile staffing solution.
- Float throughout the hospital and/or multiple hospital locations and regions.
- Apply standard elements of professional practice: assess, identify outcomes/solutions, plan, implement, and evaluate.
- Retain accountability for delegation, choices, decisions, and outcomes.
- Collaborate with key stakeholders and contribute to quality and improvement practices and outcomes.
- Provide surgical technologist staffing for critical positions caused by unforeseen circumstances or extended leaves of absence.
- Work in varied practice settings locally or nationally, according to preference.
- Complete a 13-week assignment at Trinity Health Grand Rapids, with a day shift schedule of 4x10 hours.
Requirements
What you’ll need- Preferred Education: Graduate of an Associate or Bachelor’s degree program for Surgical Technologist.
- Preferred Certification: CST.
- A minimum of 18 months experience is required for CST.
- If a Surgical Technologist program has not been completed due to training on the job or trained in the military, five years’ work experience is required.
- Cannot hold a concurrent position at a Trinity Health facility.
- Ability to complete the orientation and training.
- Qualified and willing to float throughout the hospital and/or multiple hospital locations and/or regions.
- Ability to act independently and appropriately within scope of knowledge and experience in the practice area.
- Ability to collaborate with key stakeholders and contribute to quality and improvement practices and outcomes.
- Willingness to take on new and additional responsibilities.
- Ability to embrace new ideas and cultural differences while managing competing priorities.
