About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Fill short- and long-term assignments throughout the health system.
  • Float throughout the hospital and/or multiple hospital locations and/or regions.
  • Apply the standard elements of professional practice: assess, identify outcomes/solutions, plan, implement, and evaluate.
  • Act independently and appropriately within scope of knowledge and experience.
  • Retain accountability for delegation, choices, decisions, and outcomes.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders and contribute to quality and improvement practices and outcomes.
  • Take on new and additional responsibilities.
  • Manage competing priorities while embracing new ideas and cultural differences.

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Preferred education: Graduate of an Associate or Bachelor’s degree program for Surgical Technologist.
  • Preferred certification: CST.
  • A minimum of 18 months experience is required for CST.
  • If a Surgical Technologist program has not been completed due to training on the job or military training, five (5) years’ work experience is required.
  • Cannot hold a concurrent position at a Trinity Health facility.
  • Ability to complete the orientation and training.
  • Qualified and willing to float throughout the hospital and/or multiple hospital locations and/or regions.
