About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Fill short and long-term assignments throughout the health system
Float throughout the hospital and/or multiple hospital locations and/or regions
Assess patients, identify outcomes and solutions, plan, implement, and evaluate care
Act independently and appropriately within license, scope of knowledge, and experience
Retain accountability for delegation, choices, decisions, and outcomes
Collaborate with stakeholders and contribute to quality and improvement practices and outcomes
Take on new and additional responsibilities while managing competing priorities
Provide emergency department nursing coverage at MercyOne DeWitt Medical Center, Iowa
Complete a 13-week assignment working 3x12 night shifts

Requirements

What you’ll need

Graduation from an accredited school of nursing
Valid RN licensure authorized in the applicable state(s) of practice/employment
Minimum of two (2) years of recent clinical experience for Emergency Department
Required to have and maintain the credentials required per their specialty area (e.g., ACLS, TNCC)
BLS, ACLS and PALS must be obtained through American Heart Association
