About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Fill short- and long-term assignments throughout the health system
  • Float throughout the hospital, multiple hospital locations, and/or regions
  • Assess patients, identify outcomes and solutions, plan, implement, and evaluate care
  • Act independently within license, scope of knowledge, and experience
  • Retain accountability for delegation, choices, decisions, and outcomes
  • Collaborate with stakeholders and contribute to quality and improvement practices
  • Adapt to new responsibilities, ideas, cultural differences, and competing priorities
  • Provide critical care nursing at MercyOne Waterloo Medical Center on a 13-week assignment
  • Work three 12-hour night shifts per week

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Graduation from an accredited school of nursing
  • Valid RN licensure authorized in the applicable state(s) of practice/employment
  • Minimum of two (2) years of recent clinical experience for Critical Care and other listed specialties
  • Required to have and maintain credentials required per specialty area, such as ACLS and TNCC
  • BLS, ACLS and PALS must be obtained through American Heart Association
  • Qualified and willing to float throughout the hospital and/or multiple hospital locations and regions
