About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Administer chemotherapy, anti-cancer drugs, COVID infusion treatments, and other outpatient infusions/injections accurately
  • Promote a safe environment for patients and staff by following established guidelines
  • Provide patient, family, or caregiver education and counseling addressing physical, emotional, and environmental health problems
  • Float throughout the hospital and/or multiple hospital locations or regions as necessary
  • Apply professional practice standards: assess, identify outcomes and solutions, plan, implement, and evaluate
  • Collaborate with stakeholders and contribute to quality improvement practices and outcomes
  • Take on new and additional responsibilities while managing competing priorities
  • Fill short- and long-term staffing assignments throughout the health system

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Graduation from an accredited school of nursing
  • Valid RN licensure authorized in the applicable state(s) of practice/employment
  • Minimum two (2) years of recent clinical experience for all remaining specialties including Critical Care, Surgical Services, Maternal Services, Emergency Department and Behavioral Health, Infusion Administration
  • BLS certification obtained through the American Heart Association
  • ONS ONCC Chemotherapy Immunotherapy Certificate
  • ONS Provider Card
  • Qualified and willing to float throughout the hospital and/or multiple hospital locations and/or regions if necessary
  • Ability to act independently within license, scope of knowledge, and experience
  • Ability to maintain accountability for delegation, choices, decisions, and outcomes
