About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Fill short- and long-term nursing assignments throughout the health system
  • Provide registered nursing care in Labor and Delivery, Recovery and Postpartum, and Mother Baby settings
  • Float throughout the hospital and/or multiple hospital locations and regions
  • Assess patients, identify outcomes and solutions, plan care, implement interventions, and evaluate results
  • Retain accountability for delegation, choices, decisions and outcomes
  • Collaborate with key stakeholders and contribute to quality improvement practices and outcomes
  • Take on new and additional responsibilities while managing competing priorities
  • Travel within the local region or nationally according to assignment needs

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Graduation from an accredited school of nursing
  • Valid RN licensure authorized in the applicable state(s) of practice/employment
  • Minimum two (2) years of recent clinical experience for all specialties including Critical Care, Surgical Services, Maternal Services, Emergency Department and Behavioral Health
  • Required to have and maintain the credentials required per specialty area, such as ACLS and TNCC
  • BLS, ACLS and PALS must be obtained through American Heart Association
  • Qualified and willing to float throughout the hospital and/or multiple hospital locations and/or regions
  • Ability to act independently and appropriately within license, scope of knowledge and experience in the practice area
