About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Fill short- and long-term assignments throughout the health system
- Float throughout the hospital and/or multiple hospital locations and/or regions
- Apply standard elements of professional practice according to AARC guidelines
- Act independently and appropriately within the scope of knowledge and experience
- Retain accountability for delegation, choices, decisions, and outcomes
- Collaborate with stakeholders and contribute to quality improvement practices and outcomes
- Take on new and additional responsibilities
- Manage competing priorities while embracing new ideas and cultural differences
- Work 13-week assignments at 3x12 hours on day shifts
Requirements
What you’ll need- 2 years of experience as a Respiratory Therapist
- Graduate of a two-year advanced practitioner-accredited Respiratory Therapist program; registry eligible
- Current RRT credential
- Valid State License in Respiratory Care if required in the state where working
- Interpersonal skills necessary to effectively communicate with patients, physicians, other health personnel, and department management
- Analytical skills necessary to identify patients' needs
- Basic computer skills in a Windows environment
- Willingness and qualification to float throughout the hospital and/or multiple hospital locations and/or regions
