About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Fill short- and long-term respiratory therapy assignments throughout the health system
- Float throughout the hospital and/or multiple hospital locations and/or regions
- Apply standard elements of professional practice per AARC guidelines
- Act independently and appropriately within the scope of knowledge and experience
- Retain accountability for delegation, choices, decisions, and outcomes
- Collaborate with key stakeholders and contribute to quality and improvement practices and outcomes
- Take on new and additional responsibilities
- Manage competing priorities while embracing new ideas and cultural differences
- Provide respiratory therapy services across varied practice settings during local-regional or national travel assignments
Requirements
What you’ll need- 2 years of experience as a Respiratory Therapist
- Graduate of a two-year advanced practitioner-accredited Respiratory Therapist program; Registry eligible
- Current RRT credential
- Valid State License in Respiratory Care if required in the state where working
- Required to have and maintain credentials required per specialty area, such as ACLS and NRP
- BLS, ACLS and PALS must be obtained through American Heart Association
- Interpersonal skills necessary to communicate effectively with patients, physicians, other health personnel, and department management
- Analytical skills necessary to identify patients’ needs
- Demonstrated basic computer skills in a Windows environment
- Adult, NICU & PICU experience required
- Qualified and willing to float throughout the hospital and/or multiple hospital locations and/or regions
