About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Fill short- and long-term assignments throughout the health system
- Float throughout the hospital and/or multiple hospital locations and/or regions
- Apply standard elements of professional practice per AARC guidelines
- Act independently and appropriately within scope of knowledge and experience
- Retain accountability for delegation, choices, decisions, and outcomes
- Collaborate with key stakeholders and contribute to quality and improvement practices and outcomes
- Take on new and additional responsibilities
- Manage competing priorities while embracing new ideas and cultural differences
- Provide respiratory therapy coverage at St. Mary Medical Center and other assigned practice settings
Requirements
What you’ll need- Graduate of a two-year advanced practitioner-accredited Respiratory Therapist program; registry eligible
- Current CRT and/or RRT credential
- NPS preferred
- Valid State License in Respiratory Care if required in the state you are working
- Interpersonal skills necessary to effectively communicate with patients, physicians, other health personnel, and department management
- Analytical skills necessary to identify patients' needs
- Demonstrated basic computer skills in a Windows environment
- Qualified and willing to float throughout the hospital and/or multiple hospital locations and/or regions
