About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Maintain and continuously improve TRIP’s global quality management system, HACCP, prerequisite programmes, internal audit schedule and CAPA log
  • Lead BRC or equivalent GFSI-benchmarked alignment across the co-manufacturer network
  • Own global product specifications, Bills of Materials and technical documentation
  • Act as a key quality contact for co-manufacturers and ingredient suppliers across the UK, US and EU
  • Support supplier approval, quality KPIs, audit schedules and corrective action plans
  • Conduct and coordinate supplier audits and provide improvement-focused feedback
  • Perform raw material and supplier risk assessments, escalating material risks to the Sr. Director
  • Support and maintain the product testing programme and Certificate of Analysis management
  • Monitor quality KPIs including out-of-specification incidents, complaints, defect rates and returns
  • Provide quality and technical input throughout new product development, including trials, sensory alignment and packaging integrity checks
  • Support complaint investigations and quality incidents from triage through root cause analysis and prevention of recurrence
  • Support product recall readiness and act as quality lead if a recall is triggered
  • Support customer care with technical knowledge for product quality queries and complaint resolution
  • Coordinate cross-functional problem-solving across operations, supply chain and NPD
  • Provide subject-matter input into regulatory risk assessments, ingredient approval, claims substantiation and specification governance
  • Keep specifications and BOMs aligned with compliance MPCs and packaging artwork records
  • Work under the direction of the Sr. Director of Quality, Regulatory & Technical, with occasional travel to UK and US supplier and co-manufacturer sites

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Degree in Food Science, Chemistry, Microbiology or a related discipline
  • 5+ years’ experience in a quality or technical role within consumer goods, specifically functional beverages and/or food/dietary supplements
  • Experience managing quality across more than one market or region
  • Hands-on experience working with co-packers or contract manufacturers, ideally spanning more than one country
  • Strong working knowledge of HACCP, GMP, prerequisite programmes and food safety certification schemes including BRC, ISO 22000 and GFSI
  • Proven ability to manage supplier quality at scale, including audits, KPI reporting and corrective actions, across multiple sites and suppliers
  • Confident communication with suppliers and co-manufacturers across cultures and time zones
  • Ability to operate as day-to-day responsible owner of a global function under senior direction, knowing when to decide and escalate
  • Desirable: familiarity with UK, US and/or EU food and food-supplement regulatory frameworks, including FSA, MHRA and FDA
  • Desirable: exposure to shelf-life and stability testing in beverages, including packaging interactions and carbonation
  • Desirable: experience in a scale-up or high-growth, multi-market FMCG environment
  • Desirable: experience building or maturing a QMS/BRC programme from the ground up
  • Desirable: direct experience with US Dietary Supplements, Supplement Facts and 21 CFR Part 111 cGMP
  • Desirable: background in functional/adaptogenic beverage CPG alongside food or dietary supplement quality experience
