About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Own the technical and commercial relationship between Tripadvisor’s platform and supplier reservation systems (restechs)
- Define and own the supplier and restech connectivity strategy
- Build and maintain C-suite relationships with restech and supplier partners
- Act as Tripadvisor’s senior technical representative in partner discussions
- Work hands-on on API design, integration architecture, and connectivity issues
- Lead, grow, and mentor global tech leads and engineering teams
- Partner with Product to shape the connectivity roadmap
- Introduce new technologies and approaches and foster technical creativity
- Own escalation and resolution of complex operational and connectivity issues
- Oversee configuration, monitoring, and testing of supplier integrations
- Drive continuous improvement of connectivity tools and processes
- Collaborate with Product, Engineering, and Commercial teams to scale connectivity capabilities
- Report to the Senior Director, Destination Management
Requirements
What you’ll need- 10+ years of experience in technical leadership, connectivity strategy, or product engineering, ideally in travel technology or B2B SaaS
- Deep hands-on knowledge of APIs and restech integration technologies
- Understanding of connectivity platforms end to end
- Proven experience building senior, C-suite-level relationships with restech and supplier partners
- Experience defining technical or connectivity strategies and delivering against them hands-on
- Hands-on technical experience
- Experience partnering with Product, ideally on a customer-facing site or app
- Inclusive, non-hierarchical leadership style
- Ability to adapt quickly in fast-moving environments
- Excellent communication and management skills with strong technical credibility
- Data and analytical mindset, including ability to design and build relevant reports
- Proven experience defining and delivering technical roadmaps and API strategies
- Experience scaling connectivity platforms in high-traffic environments
- Deep knowledge of integration architecture, API design, and observability
- Proven ability to build, mentor, and lead global engineering and technical teams
- Proven ability to build teams from scratch or through significant transformation
- Ability to use data to drive technical decisions and operational improvements
