About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Lead the Measurement engineering organization, spanning approximately five teams and 15 engineers
Manage team leads and own technical direction, execution, and operational performance
Coordinate priorities across leadership, Product, Engineering, and team leads
Clarify changing priorities, define next steps, and resolve cross-team dependencies
Own hiring, organizational structure, and performance management
Set expectations for delivery, technical quality, people management, and ownership
Shape engineering direction and balance business priorities with reliability, data correctness, infrastructure cost, and technical debt
Stay deeply involved in system design, code, debugging, and production issues
Ensure systems are reliable, accurate, scalable, and cost-effective
Partner with the Director of Product for Measurement and represent Triple Whale in discussions with Meta, Google, and TikTok
Use AI extensively and build AI-assisted workflows and agent-based automation
Validate AI-generated output and maintain standards for security, privacy, and data quality

Requirements

What you’ll need

2–3 years of proven experience managing engineering teams and leads across multiple teams
Experience leading in a fast-growing startup
Strong coordination skills and ability to manage frequent context switching
Sound judgment in setting priorities and resolving competing input
Experience scaling engineering organizations, hiring and developing leaders, building high-performing teams, and making timely talent decisions
Strong hands-on software engineering background; ability to read code, review architecture, and investigate complex production problems
Significant experience with big data and data engineering teams in very high-scale production environments
Strong understanding of distributed systems, data pipelines, analytical workloads, and operational trade-offs
Ability to learn unfamiliar tools, codebases, and domains independently
Advanced practical AI proficiency, including AI coding tools, LLMs, and agent-based workflows
High emotional intelligence and respect for people with clear accountability
Low ego and intellectual honesty
Native-level English proficiency, written and spoken
Ability to work from the Jerusalem office at least three days a week, with Monday and Wednesday required
Full availability in the evenings
