About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Design, implement, and maintain a stable, scalable, and secure Power BI Service environment
  • Develop dashboards and reporting solutions for diverse business users
  • Create complex custom Power BI visualizations
  • Perform data validation to ensure accuracy and quality across multiple datasets
  • Collaborate with developers and technical teams to enhance reporting functionality and establish best practices
  • Gather business requirements and identify reporting enhancements
  • Lead technical discussions with stakeholders
  • Create and maintain technical documentation, user guides, and reporting standards
  • Deliver Power BI training, mentorship, and co-development sessions
  • Ensure reports meet performance, accessibility, security, and compliance requirements
  • Configure and manage access controls, security models, and governance standards
  • Develop and maintain data refresh strategies using Azure SQL Server and other data sources
  • Provide project status updates and progress reporting to stakeholders and clients
  • Conduct knowledge transfer sessions for long-term solution sustainability

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • 8+ years of experience in business intelligence, analytics, reporting, or Power BI development roles
  • 5+ years of advanced Power BI development experience
  • Strong expertise with Power BI Service administration and enterprise reporting environments
  • Experience designing interactive dashboards, reports, and data models
  • Advanced knowledge of data validation, data quality assurance, and troubleshooting methodologies
  • Experience working with Azure SQL Server and related data sources
  • Strong technical documentation skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including communication with senior executives and business leaders
  • Experience gathering requirements and translating business needs into technical reporting solutions
  • Strong presentation and facilitation skills
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Analytics, Business Intelligence, or a related field
  • English essential
  • Currently authorized to work in the United States
  • Microsoft Power BI certifications highly valued
  • Additional Microsoft Azure or Data Analytics certifications considered a plus
