About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Provide technical guidance and leadership on cybersecurity topics including architecture, configuration management, and environment design
- Use automation tools, configuration management, and infrastructure-as-code solutions to standardize security across environments
- Guide engineering, product, and leadership stakeholders and align them with security strategies
- Identify and communicate cloud platform vulnerabilities and mitigation options while balancing business agility and security
- Serve as a Cloud Security Subject Matter Expert by maintaining knowledge of cloud security technologies and concepts
- Engage business lines to understand needs and develop secure business solutions
- Drive security improvements in the GCP environment
- Perform GCP Identity and Access Management to maintain least privilege and role-based access control
- Participate in cloud-environment audits with external auditors and internal resources
- Perform rapid threat assessments and triage vulnerabilities based on business risk
- Integrate security testing and reviews into product development and CI/CD pipelines
- Conduct just-in-time security training, provide real-time advice, and perform code reviews for developers and engineers
- Optimize security tools for fast integration and secure product iterations
Requirements
What you’ll need- Relevant industry experience managing cloud security programs, Identity Access Management (IAM), and cloud-native security solutions such as firewalls
- Expert-level knowledge of cloud infrastructure components, preferably with GCP
- Ability to juggle multiple priorities and create urgency in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
- Ability to audit and provide audit support for security controls within the cloud environment
- Experience with infrastructure vulnerability testing tools
- Experience with Cloud Application Platforms, including Heroku
- Experience with infrastructure-as-code tools, including Terraform
- AI fluency in applying AI to accelerate workflows, structure and solve problems, improve output quality, and increase speed and leverage
- Ability to work in a high-intensity, high-ownership environment
- Willingness and ability to participate in on-call requirements
