About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Build and own TRM’s government contracts administration and compliance function within Legal
  • Establish processes, systems, and working relationships for compliant government contract management
  • Maintain a central register of obligations, owners, deadlines, and required registrations throughout each contract lifecycle
  • Use AI to extract obligations, milestones, and deadlines from contracts and keep the register current
  • Lead proposal compliance reviews and use AI to analyze solicitations and build compliance matrices
  • Coordinate representations and certifications, identify mandatory forms, and flag exceptions for counsel
  • Build government-contracts policies, procedures, templates, and records
  • Establish review, approval, tracking, and escalation workflows across Legal, Capture, Sales, Finance, and delivery
  • Administer contract modifications, task orders, subcontracts, and flowdowns
  • Coordinate renewals, option exercises, and closeout
  • Work with Finance on contractual invoicing and reporting
  • Partner with the CLO and counsel on contract interpretation, procurement requirements, and legal exceptions
  • Translate legal guidance into repeatable processes and clear instructions for business teams
  • Build reusable AI workflows for contract and compliance reviews as public-sector contract volume grows
  • Collaborate with a distributed US-based team across time zones using Slack-first, async communication

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • 5+ years of progressively responsible US government contracts experience
  • Experience independently administering federal prime contracts through award, modifications, performance and closeout
  • Experience reviewing solicitations and creating proposal compliance matrices
  • Experience coordinating representations, certifications, and mandatory submission requirements
  • Practical knowledge of FAR/DFARS, IDIQs, task and delivery orders, and applicable subcontract flowdowns
  • Judgment about when to involve counsel
  • Experience building or materially improving contracts processes, templates, or tracking systems
  • Experience managing obligations and deadlines across multiple contracts
  • Production AI fluency for analyzing solicitations, drafting compliance matrices, and managing obligations
  • Judgment to validate AI output on regulatory detail
  • Clear communication and strong cross-functional judgment
  • Hands-on, service-oriented approach
  • Nice to have: experience with state, local, or international government contracts
  • Nice to have: experience administering contracts for software, SaaS, or data services
  • Nice to have: experience working with GSA Schedules
