About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Lead technical discovery with prospects and customers to understand business processes, integration requirements, ERP environment, data flows, security needs, and success criteria
  • Achieve a target technical win rate by addressing prospect requirements and outperforming competing solutions in technical validations and proofs of concept
  • Scope, support, and lead technical validations, proof-of-concept activities, and proof-of-value engagements
  • Build trust with customer prospects and stakeholders across complex and high-value opportunities
  • Address technical objections, competitive questions, product limitations, and integration concerns
  • Influence qualified opportunities through the technical evaluation phase
  • Partner with Account Executives to build mutual action plans, define technical success criteria, and advance opportunities
  • Gather and synthesize technical feedback for product and engineering teams
  • Deliver customer projects to pre-implementation and convey mission-critical details to implementation, product, and development teams
  • Create reusable technical assets, including demo scripts, best-practice guides, and competitive analysis documents
  • Deliver customized demonstrations and technical presentations mapping TrueCommerce solutions to customer use cases, workflows, and business outcomes
  • Participate in training and share market knowledge with sales and product teams

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • 2+ years in a Sales Engineer or related role (Solution Engineer/Consultant, Pre-Sales, etc.)
  • BA/BS degree preferred or equivalent work experience
  • Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities
  • Self-motivated, proactive, and able to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
  • Familiarity with various B2B integration patterns and supplier enablement strategies preferred
