About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Administer Windows Server environments across production, staging, and development, including patching, configuration, and lifecycle management
  • Administer IIS and application server configurations, including app pools, site bindings, logging, and performance settings
  • Support Kubernetes-hosted workloads, including pod-level troubleshooting, deployment support, and monitoring cluster health alongside the DevOps team
  • Monitor system health, respond to alerts, and participate in the team on-call rotation
  • Perform routine maintenance including backups, patch cycles, certificate renewals, storage management, and capacity checks
  • Support Active Directory administration, including user and group management, GPO, and DNS
  • Perform day-to-day Azure administration for the tc.net environment, including VM management, storage, monitoring, and access control
  • Triage and resolve Azure alerts and incidents
  • Maintain and improve Azure monitoring dashboards and alerting configurations
  • Document Azure resources, runbooks, and operational procedures
  • Participate in incident response, diagnosing and remediating systems-layer issues
  • Follow and improve change management procedures, including pre-change testing and rollback planning
  • Write and maintain runbooks and SOPs
  • Contribute to post-incident reviews, identifying root causes and recommending preventive measures
  • Serve as the infrastructure-side partner in the production release process
  • Own environment readiness for production deployments, validating configurations, infrastructure health, and rollback paths
  • Participate in release coordination, deployment timing, environment sequencing, and risk assessment
  • Work with QA and engineering on environment design and scaling decisions
  • Participate in deployment post-mortems and improve the release process
  • Identify repetitive manual tasks and implement automation
  • Support infrastructure-as-code efforts
  • Collaborate with DevOps on modernization and containerization infrastructure changes

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • 5+ years of hands-on experience as a systems administrator or infrastructure engineer
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
  • Must be willing to work rotating on-call, shared across the systems pillar
  • Windows Server administration, including installation, configuration, patching, and troubleshooting
  • Hands-on Azure experience, including VM management, Azure Monitor, storage, and RBAC
  • Hands-on Kubernetes experience, including kubectl, workload management, and cluster observability
  • Active Directory fundamentals: user and group management, GPO, DNS, and basic domain operations
  • Experience administering IIS or comparable application server platforms, including configuration, troubleshooting, and performance management
  • Familiarity with backup and recovery procedures and tools
  • Experience supporting production deployments, including pre-deployment environment validation and rollback readiness
  • Ability to read logs, trace issues across systems, and communicate findings clearly
  • Organized and documentation-oriented, comfortable writing and maintaining runbooks and SOPs
  • PowerShell or other scripting experience for automation and administration tasks
  • Experience working in an ITSM or ticketing environment such as ServiceNow, Jira, or similar
  • Microsoft certifications such as AZ-900, AZ-104, or Windows Server equivalent
  • Familiarity with EDI, supply chain platforms, or integration middleware
