About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Champion the voice of the member throughout the digital product lifecycle
  • Plan and conduct usability testing, research, and reviews across digital banking experiences
  • Identify friction and opportunities across online and mobile banking, payments, digital account opening, and other platforms
  • Turn member feedback, usage patterns, and test results into practical recommendations
  • Create user journeys and stakeholder presentations
  • Validate new features, enhancements, and issue resolutions
  • Support accessible, consistent, and member-centered experiences
  • Collaborate with product managers, business teams, cross-functional partners, and third-party vendors
  • Evaluate member-impacting issues
  • Bring forward current UX practices and emerging digital banking ideas
  • Improve member engagement and satisfaction

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • 3+ years of experience in UX research, usability testing, or UX design, preferably supporting financial services or digital products
  • Ability to plan and conduct usability research
  • Ability to analyze qualitative and quantitative data
  • Ability to translate findings into practical design or product improvements
  • Working knowledge of UX/UI principles
  • Working knowledge of journey mapping
  • Working knowledge of human-centered design
  • Knowledge of accessibility considerations
  • Knowledge of security and compliance factors affecting digital experiences
  • Ability to document and present research, data, user journeys, and recommendations clearly to cross-functional partners and external vendors
  • Ability to understand business processes and supporting technologies
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Ability to work effectively in Microsoft Visio, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Excel
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human-Computer Interaction, User Experience, Psychology, Information Design, or a related field, or equivalent experience
  • 1+ years of experience in financial services, banking, or credit unions
  • Familiarity with digital banking platforms, fintech solutions, or member-facing financial technology
  • Experience partnering with third-party vendors or supporting digital pilots, product launches, and post-launch improvements
  • Ability to advocate for member needs
  • Ability to stay current with UX trends, digital banking practices, and emerging financial technologies
