About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Achieve annual sales and profitability objectives for Latin America and Caribbean markets
  • Develop and implement sales support plans to increase market share and growth, with emphasis on golf and turf business
  • Plan, manage, coordinate, and implement Commercial Golf Grounds, Irrigation products, and parts business throughout the region
  • Attain divisional sales and profit objectives through direct contact with the company distributor network
  • Develop, maintain, leverage, and influence relationships with customers, marketing, leadership, and cross-functional stakeholders
  • Develop sales plans for each business segment
  • Coach, mentor, and lead sales staff; conduct mid-year and end-of-year reviews
  • Develop and execute annual business plans and coordinate monthly, quarterly, and annual sales and projection plans
  • Identify new business opportunities and market segments
  • Coordinate field-issue resolution with Customer Care and provide technical sales support
  • Provide work direction to sales managers, sales representatives, staff, and cross-functional support teams
  • Communicate goals, policies, and strategies to regional employees
  • Develop sales, marketing, and promotional programs for distributors
  • Support distribution-channel projects through market visits, order negotiation, and new-product introductions
  • Develop distributors and conduct product/sales training
  • Identify and develop distribution channels for new market opportunities
  • Evaluate distributor sales, marketing, and customer service quality
  • Coordinate between sales, marketing, and credit functions
  • Identify market-development opportunities and develop plans to pursue them
  • Develop and maintain customer and internal-partner relationships
  • Directly supervise and lead the Latin America sales team
  • Travel approximately 50% as necessary
  • Report to the Vice President – International Division

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor's degree in business or marketing related discipline
  • M.B.A. preferred
  • Must have advanced proficiency in Spanish, both in the oral and written form
  • 10+ years of combined sales & marketing experience managing business plans and P&Ls with multiple channels of distribution
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and execute annual business and sales account plans
  • Proven ability to develop subject matter expertise in product/features, customer benefits, and competitive product categories
  • Highly effective written and verbal communication skills for professional sales presentations and business negotiations
  • Ability to lead and influence cross-functional teams
  • Strong data-based analytical skills
  • Proven conflict management skills and ability to reason and influence key decision makers and stakeholders
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple demanding projects in a fast-paced, constantly changing environment
  • Legally authorized to work in the United States; no current or future visa sponsorship
