Key responsibilities & impact

Serve as the analytical partner for one portfolio company
Identify and clarify revenue questions involving retention, new customer revenue, and pricing changes
Own value-creation analysis covering retention and cohorts, pricing and packaging, pipeline and funnel yield, and revenue source mapping
Pull and validate raw data using SQL, BI tools, and AI agents
Use AI to shorten analysis cycle time and identify automation opportunities
Turn findings into recommendations with quantified revenue impact, a clear owner, and a next step
Support new deals and add-ons when the deal team needs speed
Convert repeated analyses into reusable templates or tools for the portfolio and Operations team
Collaborate with a Data Analytics Lead, platform data team, Operations team, Investment team, portfolio company CEO, and firm leadership

Requirements

What you’ll need

4-6+ years of experience in SaaS FP&A or strategic finance, technology investment banking, or strategy consulting with software clients
Command of SaaS economics: ARR bridges, gross and net retention, cohorts, pricing, and unit economics
Experience building models from scratch and producing output that executives can use without rework
Proficiency in SQL and comfort in messy, raw data
Demonstrated ability to use AI tools or automation, ideally without being asked
Structured thinker who can break complex revenue processes into systems of components, root causes, and dependencies
Hands-on, execution-oriented, and accountable for results
Curious, experimental operator who takes feedback well and continuously tests new approaches and technologies
Experience owning a relationship with a CFO, CRO, or business unit leader is preferred
