About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Serve as the primary, trusted point of contact for assigned federal accounts, including DoS, DHS, DHA, and others
- Cultivate deep, ongoing relationships with program managers, contracting officers, and end users
- Work with the Business Development team to align messages and solutions with customers' mission and program goals
- Maintain regular client touchpoints to monitor agency priorities, pain points, and satisfaction
- Act as the client's internal advocate by coordinating with delivery and program teams
- Identify account expansion opportunities and support broader pipeline development and capture efforts
- Monitor task orders, contract vehicles such as GSA Schedule, GWACs, and IDIQs, and upcoming re-competes
- Support proposal and capture teams with client insight, relationship access, and past performance context
- Provide regular account health updates and relationship status reports to leadership
Requirements
What you’ll need- 10+ years of account management or client relationship experience supporting federal government clients
- Required: prior, direct experience personally supporting the Department of State, DHS, DHA, or a closely related agency, with firsthand exposure to the agency's mission, stakeholders, and working environment
- Excellent relationship-building, communication, and client-management skills, with the ability to build lasting trust with senior government stakeholders
- Active Secret security clearance required at time of application; must be able to maintain clearance eligibility
- Ability to work on-site/hybrid within the Washington, DC metro area
- Existing, active network of federal contacts within DoS, DHS, DHA, or adjacent agencies
- Background in client/account management within health IT, cybersecurity, professional services, or a relevant vertical serving these agencies
- Master's degree or relevant certification is preferred
- Federal telecom management experience preferred
- Systems integration experience is a plus
