About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Research and analyze complex network inventories, technical requirements, and configurations for approximately 40 distinct customer data networks
- Assist agency customers in drafting network Performance Work Statements for EIS vendor proposals and Fair Opportunity competitions
- Evaluate technical and provisioning solutions from carriers and EIS vendors, advising on feasibility, performance trade-offs, and customer-budget alignment
- Provide technical input for Bid Models, technical evaluation plans, QASPs, and IGCEs
- Plan, coordinate, and participate in installation, scheduling, and cutover of transitioned services
- Advise the PMO and customers on modern technologies supporting LAN/WAN design
- Perform technical liaison functions among DISA, DITCO, and carrier elements during migrations
- Support senior data network customers through activation of new services
- Coordinate disconnect documentation for replaced legacy lines
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Business, or a related technical discipline
- 8+ years of total IT experience, with a minimum of 4 years dedicated specifically to specialized network experience
- Extensive engineering familiarity with WAN transport and access structures, including MPLS, Ethernet, SONET, Optical Wavelengths, and Dark Fiber
- Functional understanding of Premises-based and Network-based IP VPNs, VoIP transport, IP telephony, Layer 2 VPNs, and IP Video Transport
- Familiarity with VTC, hosted data environments, unified messaging, and satellite or wireless infrastructures
- Operational awareness of federal provisioning data registries, including GSA E-Morris, TIBI, TBI, TCOSS, or DISA StoreFront
- Comprehensive mastery of safeguarding unclassified CTI and CUI in compliance with DoDI 5200.48
- Direct experience in federal defense acquisition environments and understanding of DISA cybersecurity instructions
- Compliance with Continuous Evaluation criteria within DISS
- U.S. Citizenship required
- Active or interim Tier 1 (T1) NACI eligibility required at performance start
- Signed Letter of Intent (LOI) required before candidate submission to the Government
- Must be fully available Monday through Friday during 8:00 a.m.–4:30 p.m. CST and flexible for technical cutover windows outside core hours
- Preferred: direct incumbent TSST experience
- Preferred: understanding of migrations from GSA NETWORX, WITS 3, and GSA Regional contracts to EIS
- Preferred: experience evaluating or drafting technical requirements for DoD communications programs
