About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Support the Business Office Manager and overall management of business office activities
- Operate in accordance with applicable federal, state, and local standards, guidelines, and regulations
- Coordinate with the Business Office Manager on insurance payments, including private, Medicare, Medicaid, and other managed care
- Manage refunds for accounts receivable
- Maintain appropriate logs and reports, including resident funds, census records, and case accounts
- Maintain positive relationships with residents, families, staff, physicians, consultants, providers, governmental agencies, representatives, and the community
Requirements
What you’ll need- High school diploma, or equivalent, required
- Prior experience in business office operations in LTC/SNF/AL/MC preferred
- Effective communication skills to maintain positive relationships with residents, families, staff, physicians, consultants, providers, governmental agencies, their representatives, and the community
- Current knowledge of local, state, and federal guidelines and regulations
- Professional image in both appearance and behavior
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Flexible, fun, and energetic personality
- Passion for working with seniors
