About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Manage overall business office activities in accordance with applicable federal, state, and local standards, guidelines, and regulations
- Coordinate with the Central Billing Office on insurance payments, including private, Medicare, Medicaid, and other managed care
- Manage refunds for accounts receivable
- Maintain appropriate logs and reports, including resident funds, census records, and case accounts
- Perform duties as directed by the administrator
Requirements
What you’ll need- High school diploma, or equivalent, required
- Associates degree in business or accounting fields preferred
- Prior experience in business office operations in a LTC/SNF/AL/MC setting required
- Effective communication skills to maintain positive relationships with residents, families, staff, physicians, consultants, providers, governmental agencies, their representatives, and the community
- Current knowledge of local, state, and federal guidelines and regulations
- Professional image in both appearance and behavior
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- A fire and passion for working with seniors
- A flexible, fun, and energetic personality
