About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Plan, develop, organize, evaluate, and direct the overall operation of the Social Services department
- Operate in accordance with the NASW Code of Ethics and comply with Federal, State, and Local guidelines and regulations, company policies and procedures, and governing agencies
- Foster a climate, policies, and routines that enable residents to maximize individuality, independence, and dignity
- Promote the highest practical level of residents’ physical, mental, and psychosocial well-being and quality of life
- Identify residents’ psychosocial, mental, and emotional needs
- Provide, develop, and/or aid access to services meeting residents’ needs
Requirements
What you’ll need- Certified, licensed, or registered in the state of practice
- Bachelor’s degree in social work or a human services field required
- Minimum of one year of supervisory social work experience in a health care setting working primarily with the geriatric population required
- Minimum of two years of prior experience in a LTC/SNF/AL/MC setting required
- Professional image in both appearance and behavior
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Passion for working with seniors
- Flexible, fun, and energetic personality
