About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Plan, develop, organize, evaluate, and direct the overall operation of the Social Services department
  • Ensure compliance with the NASW Code of Ethics, Federal, State, and Local guidelines and regulations, company policies and procedures, and governing agencies
  • Foster a climate, policies, and routines that enable residents to maximize individuality, independence, and dignity
  • Promote residents’ highest practical level of physical, mental, and psychosocial well-being and quality of life
  • Identify psychosocial, mental, and emotional needs
  • Provide, develop, and/or aid access to services that meet residents’ needs

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • A fire and passion for working with seniors
  • A flexible, fun, and energetic personality
  • Certified, licensed, or registered in the state of practice
  • Bachelor’s degree in social work or a human services field required
  • Minimum of one year of supervisory social work experience in a health care setting working primarily with the geriatric population required
  • Minimum of two years of prior experience in a LTC/SNF/AL/MC setting required
  • Professional image in both appearance and behavior
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
