About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Build and own mobile SDKs for Stytch’s identity and fraud detection platforms on Twilio
- Work on device internals and complex signal collection to improve identification of bad actors
- Ship SDK surfaces powering authentication, agenting, and non-human identity use cases
- Partner with Product and Engineering leadership to set direction and deliver roadmap features
- Collaborate across Twilio and Stytch teams on architecture and platform integration
- Author design documents, drive technical decisions, review code, and maintain ownership of shipped systems
- Break down complex problems, make pragmatic tradeoffs, and design developer experiences
- Improve production quality and resilience through observability, incident response, and remediation
- Mentor and support engineers through pairing, feedback, and knowledge-sharing
Requirements
What you’ll need- 6+ years of professional mobile engineering experience
- Deep experience designing, building, and maintaining mobile applications
- Android development experience, fluent in Kotlin or Java
- Expertise in mobile development ecosystems, frameworks, and third-party libraries
- Deep understanding of software engineering best practices, monitoring, observability, and maintainable systems
- Experience making high-impact technical decisions and leading technical initiatives
- Proven track record of driving technical excellence while centering customer needs
- Exceptional communication and collaboration skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related industry experience
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work non-standard on-call rotation weekend and holiday hours
- Role is remote in either the US or Canada
