About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Own a portfolio of prospective health plan clients and develop consultative relationships with key decision-makers, including C-suite, senior management, clinical, product management, and innovation teams
  • Own the end-to-end sales cycle from initial discovery to contract signature for regional and national health plan opportunities
  • Advise clients on leveraging products and services to improve clinical outcomes, member experience, and total cost-of-care savings
  • Collaborate with Product, Implementation, Clinical, and Compliance teams on onboarding, integration, and ongoing client satisfaction
  • Monitor healthcare policy, payer trends, and competitor activity and provide strategic insights internally
  • Support contract negotiations and RFP responses
  • Ensure regulatory alignment with CMS, Medicaid, and ACA Exchange plans
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • 3–6 years of experience in business development in the health plan, payer, or managed care space
  • Successful track record of meeting growth targets
  • Strong understanding of health insurance models (commercial, Medicare, Medicaid, Exchange)
  • Excellent relationship-building and communication skills across clinical, operational, and executive stakeholders
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-growth, mission-driven environment
  • Proactive, organized, and metrics-driven, with strong CRM hygiene (e.g., Salesforce)
  • Willingness and ability to travel as needed
  • Applicants must be authorized to work for any employer in the U.S.
  • Experience working with digital health, population health, or value-based care solutions
  • Familiarity with provider networks, member engagement programs, or care navigation platforms
  • History of selling products to health plans utilized in both fully-insured and ASO populations
  • Deep relationships with key regional health plans
  • Deep relationships with national health plans
