About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Manage end-to-end supplier invoice processing and PO matching
- Prepare weekly payment runs and reconcile supplier statements
- Resolve supplier queries
- Process customer invoicing and receipt allocations
- Manage debtor collections, aged receivables reporting, and escalation of overdue accounts
- Process payroll across multiple entities
- Administer leave, superannuation, payroll reconciliations, STP preparation, and payroll reporting
- Perform daily bank and credit card reconciliations
- Allocate cash receipts and code expenses
- Investigate and resolve reconciling items
- Prepare month-end schedules and supporting workpapers
- Complete bank, credit card, AR, AP, payroll, GST, intercompany, inventory, and balance sheet reconciliations
- Update the fixed asset register
- Prepare accruals and prepayments
- Complete and submit month-end checklists ready for Financial Controller review
- Prepare documentation supporting BAS, IAS, Payroll Tax, Superannuation, WorkCover, and FBT
- Maintain the finance inbox, registers, and accounting documentation
- Support process improvements and finance procedure documentation
- Ensure financial records remain accurate, complete, and up to date
Requirements
What you’ll need- Minimum 3-5+ years' experience in a senior accounting, finance, or bookkeeping role
- Advanced Xero and Excel skills
- Experience managing multi-entity accounting and foreign currency transactions
- Strong understanding of Australian GST and payroll legislation
- Proven reconciliation experience with high accuracy and attention to detail
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Highly organised, detail-oriented, and self-motivated
- Experience in manufacturing environments
- Knowledge of inventory accounting and job costing
- Multi-entity payroll experience
- Experience supporting CFOs, Finance Managers, or Financial Controllers in fast-paced businesses
