About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Work with small businesses within a designated route to prospect, open and grow the U-Haul dealership organization
- Develop and manage business relationships with small business owners and U-Haul dealerships
- Provide professional insight into local markets and train and educate dealers on potential growth areas
- Manage route profit and loss through analysis and grow the route through transactions by providing products and services
- Service and maintain current U-Haul equipment and displays
- Work with support staff to ensure the success of U-Haul dealerships within the route
- Operate a stocked and maintained U-Haul service vehicle to distribute equipment throughout the route
- Perform minor repair and maintenance on U-Haul equipment
- Arrange recovery of lost, stolen or abandoned U-Haul equipment
- Participate in ongoing U-Haul education through U-Haul University
Requirements
What you’ll need- Valid driver’s license and the ability to maintain a good driving record to operate commercial motor vehicles
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Must be able to obtain a D.O.T. health certificate from a federally registered medical examiner
- Must be 18 or older
- Passport required for travel into Canada
- Ability to move a minimum of 50 lbs. assisted or unassisted
- Ability to work around moving parts, machines, fumes or irritant chemicals and use protective clothing or gear as needed
- Applicants must be legally authorized to work in the United States and must not require employer sponsorship
