About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Run daily operations of the center in the General Manager’s absence
Make moment-to-moment decisions to allocate time and resources to appropriate projects
Manage and assign team members to ensure customers receive an excellent first impression and the highest quality of care
Install hitches, brake controllers, and perform miscellaneous duties
Participate in ongoing U-Haul education through U-Haul University
Work for extended periods indoors and outdoors while remaining stationary, traversing spaces, repositioning to reach and use tools

Requirements

What you’ll need

High school diploma or equivalent
Driver’s license and ability to maintain a clean driving record
Leadership experience in any form
Customer service experience
Ability to work a variety of shifts
Must be legally authorized to work in the United States
Must not require employer sponsorship
Ability to move a minimum of 50 lbs., assisted or unassisted
Ability to work indoors and outdoors and use protective clothing or gear when required
Ability to work around moving parts, machines, fumes, or irritant chemicals
