About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Operate a flatbed truck for local U-Box deliveries
Operate an 8000-lb propane forklift or truck-mounted forklift
Load and unload storage containers for delivery
Transport storage containers to and from customers’ homes and businesses on local routes
Ensure customers receive friendly and courteous service
Participate in ongoing U-Haul education through U-Haul University
Work safely around moving parts, machines, fumes, and chemicals while using protective equipment when required

Requirements

What you’ll need

Clean motor vehicle driving record
High school diploma or equivalent
Department of Transportation certification
Commercial driver’s license (CDL)
Must be 18 or older
Ability to operate a flatbed truck
Ability to operate an 8000-lb propane forklift or a truck-mounted forklift
Ability to load and unload storage containers
Ability to move a minimum of 50 lbs assisted or unassisted
Must be legally authorized to work in the United States and must not require employer sponsorship
