About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Inspect, maintain and build new buildings
  • Perform general maintenance, installation, repair and service
  • Perform preventive maintenance inspections and semiannual roof inspections at various sites
  • Use a variety of hand and power tools
  • Collaborate with other Facility Maintenance Technicians on complex projects
  • Complete work requests in a timely and professional manner

  • Participate in ongoing U-Haul education through U-Haul University

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Experience in electrical, A/C, HVAC, plumbing or landscaping
  • Valid driver’s license
  • D.O.T certification (can be sponsored by U-Haul)
  • Must be 18 or older
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States and must not require employer sponsorship
  • Ability to use a variety of hand/power tools
  • Ability to move a minimum of 50 lbs assisted or unassisted
  • Ability to work indoors and outdoors for long periods
  • Ability to use protective clothing or gear when required
