About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Configure and develop complex application systems using existing and emerging technology platforms
- Consult with business users on requirements gathering, system design, configuration, and implementation
- Design, code, test, debug, document, maintain, and modify high-complexity computer programs
- Participate in application architecture functions, including estimating timelines, costs, and project tasks
- Recommend business improvements focused on core architecture, technology strategies, and standards
- Guide others through change impact analysis
- Establish, refine, and integrate development and test environment tools and software
- Create and recommend improvements to unit test plans and testing processes
- Collaborate with teams throughout the software development lifecycle, including design, development, and testing
- Design basic and detailed program specifications while managing interfaces, service levels, standards, and configurations
- Guide technical staff and business partners in investigating, reviewing, and solving complex multidisciplinary business problems
- Monitor operating efficiency and organizational needs of existing application systems
- Identify opportunities to fine-tune and optimize applications and recommend technical solutions
- Work closely with the Delivery Manager, IT development, Architecture groups, and multiple lines of business
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor's degree, or equivalent work experience
- At least seven years of experience with developing and implementing applications
- Working experience in product and vendor evaluation
- Working experience in information management
- Extensive experience with modeling: data, process, events, objects
- Extensive experience with IT standards, procedures, policy
- Extensive experience with change control
- Extensive experience with application maintenance
- Extensive experience with application design and architecture
- Extensive experience with application development tools
- Extensive experience with release management
- Extensive experience with system development life cycle
- Extensive experience with application testing
- Extensive experience with system testing
- Subject matter expertise in programming
