About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Report to the Business Banking Market Leader
  • Manage sales and service operations for business banking clients in an assigned market
  • Drive growth in the business banking segment for companies with annual revenue of $2.5MM up to $25MM
  • Lead a business banking sales team in executing the One Bank strategy and growing market share
  • Deliver strategic direction and leadership to sustain market profitability and annual growth
  • Foster a customer-obsessed team culture
  • Oversee relationship management, business development activities, and related risk

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting or other related field, or equivalent work experience
  • Typically 10 or more years of business banking or relevant experience
  • Typically five or more years of management/leadership experience
  • Thorough knowledge of banking products/services, banking operations, and current market trends
  • Demonstrated new business development and relationship management skills
  • Detailed knowledge of credit analysis practices and procedures and underwriting proficiency
  • Strong management and leadership skills
  • Well-developed analytical, decision-making and problem-solving skills
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to comply with U.S. Bank policies and procedures, including the Code of Ethics and Business Conduct and related workplace conduct and safety policies
  • Must comply with applicable employment eligibility verification and background-check requirements
