About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Develop profitable business account relationships and increase profitability from existing and new accounts
- Identify business opportunities based on knowledge of clients, markets, products, and services
- Make sales presentations to existing and prospective clients, informing them of product and service benefits
- Implement and maintain an effective referral network and call program to promote sales
- Develop sales strategies and goals and close sales
- Manage pipeline activity and follow up on opportunities
- Partner with internal teams to grow and retain existing portfolio customers
- Use Salesforce or similar CRM tools to manage leads, activities, and sales performance
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor's degree, or equivalent work experience
- Seven to nine or more years of relevant work experience
- Ability to travel (local and regional, some national)
- Well-developed sales and new business development skills, including the development of sales strategies and goals and closing skills
- Prior experience in business card sales/payments
- Experience working with mid-size to large businesses, including clients with $10MM+ in annual revenue
- Strong credit analysis and financial assessment skills, with understanding of basic accounting principles related to financial transactions
- Proven success developing and leveraging Centers of Influence (COIs) to generate new business opportunities
- Demonstrated ability to manage pipeline activity with strong follow-up and execution discipline
- Solid knowledge of payment products, with general understanding of product marketing and organizational operations
- Strong customer relationship management skills, including negotiation, decision-making, and creative problem resolution
- Demonstrated ability to partner with internal teams to grow and retain existing portfolio customers
- Experience using Salesforce or similar CRM tools to manage leads, activities, and sales performance
