About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Serve as a trusted advisor and strategic risk partner to Global Accounting & Operations
  • Embed risk expertise into business activities, initiatives, and decision-making
  • Identify, articulate, assess, and monitor existing and emerging risks
  • Act as the primary escalation point for existing and emerging risks
  • Translate enterprise risk program requirements into practical, actionable guidance
  • Serve as SOX Coordinator and primary liaison to the SOX Program Office and process owners
  • Communicate SOX program requirements
  • Maintain accurate SOX documentation
  • Coordinate quarterly self-assessments and certifications
  • Liaise between the business line and risk program teams
  • Collaborate with risk program teams to implement risk program requirements and routines
  • Train business partners on SOX requirements
  • Support maintenance of SOX processes, risks, controls, and key reports
  • Facilitate annual control testing by gathering evidence and coordinating with testing teams

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Typically more than six years of applicable experience
  • Bachelor's degree, or equivalent work experience
  • Strong business acumen and risk judgment
  • Executive communication skills, including the ability to distill complex risk/control topics into clear, concise executive-ready messaging and recommendations
  • Ownership and accountability mindset
  • Advanced knowledge of applicable laws, regulations, financial services, and regulatory trends impacting the assigned line of business
  • Advanced understanding of the business line’s operations, products/services, systems, and associated risks/controls
  • Thorough knowledge of Risk/Compliance/Audit competencies
  • Strong analytical, process facilitation, and project management skills
  • Effective presentation, interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills
  • Proficient computer navigation skills using Microsoft Office applications, word processing, spreadsheets, databases, and presentations
  • Applicable professional certifications
