About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Serve as the strategic face of Payment Services to clients across multiple business channels
- Manage a portfolio/book of accounts, including maintenance, growth, profitability, strategic direction, client satisfaction, and contract renewals
- Consult with clients through data analysis, industry education, performance presentations, and recommended actions
- Act as the escalation point for internal and external client issues
- Onboard and support newly activated accounts
- Build and maintain strong client relationships
- Increase portfolio profitability and client satisfaction
- Provide payment solutions education and consultative guidance
- Recommend products and services based on client needs
- Identify cross-sell and growth opportunities
- Conduct proactive outreach to drive retention and engagement
- Leverage tools, campaigns, and insights to strengthen client relationships and business growth
Requirements
What you’ll need- Associate's degree, or equivalent work experience
- Typically two or more years of client management experience in payments industry
- Strong contract negotiation, account management and project management skills
- Strong problem-solving and negotiation skills
- Ability to manage multiple tasks/projects and deadlines simultaneously
- Ability to identify and resolve exceptions and to interpret data
- Proven customer service/relations skills
- Proficient computer navigation skills using a variety of software packages including Microsoft Office applications
- Strong presentation, interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to comply with U.S. Bank policies and procedures including the Code of Ethics and Business Conduct and related workplace conduct and safety policies
