About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Lead, coach, and manage a team of Payment Solution Sales Client Executives responsible for key client relationships and end-to-end client experience
  • Establish expectations, performance standards, and accountability for client coverage, relationship management, service quality, and execution
  • Oversee the end-to-end client experience across assigned portfolios
  • Guide complex client situations, escalations, service gaps, and relationship risks toward timely resolution
  • Support team members in building deep, long-term client relationships through strategic advice and understanding of client objectives
  • Ensure regular, structured client reviews to assess satisfaction, identify opportunities, address concerns, and reinforce loyalty
  • Partner with Sales, Product, Trading, Operations, Coverage, and other teams to coordinate seamless client solutions
  • Drive organic growth through needs-based cross-selling and relationship deepening
  • Monitor portfolio trends, client feedback, satisfaction indicators, and relationship health metrics
  • Advocate for clients and the Client Executive team by translating feedback into product, process, service, and operating improvements
  • Promote disciplined execution and follow-through on client commitments
  • Maintain governance and risk awareness across client activities
  • Collaborate with Legal, Compliance, Risk, Finance, and control partners on oversight, escalation, documentation, and controls
  • Assess risk and reward in client engagements while protecting the firm’s reputation and client trust
  • Support talent development, succession planning, performance management, onboarding, and continuous capability building
  • Ensure team adherence to applicable policies, procedures, codes of conduct, and business line requirements
  • Ensure required registrations, licenses, and training obligations are maintained
  • Ensure compliance with the U.S. Bank Code of Ethics, AML, BSA, information security, suspicious activity reporting, account opening, and related requirements

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Strong leadership, coaching, communication, and relationship management skills
  • Demonstrated ability to manage, develop, and motivate a client-facing team in a complex, matrixed financial services environment
  • Client-focused, solutions-oriented mindset
  • Ability to influence across teams, resolve complex issues, and drive accountability without direct authority over all stakeholders
  • Strong experience supporting institutional or commercial clients
  • Broad cross-product understanding spanning Treasury Management Services, including Liquidity & Investments, Receivables, Payments, Commercial Cards, Merchant Services, and Trade
  • Understanding of risk management, governance, controls, regulatory expectations, and reputational risk considerations within a large financial institution
  • Strong executive presence, sound judgment, effective escalation management, and ability to translate client needs into coordinated internal action
  • Ability to comply with U.S. Bank policies and procedures, including the Code of Ethics and Business Conduct and related workplace conduct and safety policies
  • Required registrations, licenses, and training obligations must be obtained and maintained within prescribed timeframes, as applicable
  • Compliance with Anti-Money Laundering, Bank Secrecy Act, information security, suspicious activity reporting, and related policy requirements
  • Applicants must satisfy applicable employment eligibility verification and background check requirements
