About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Build and foster client relationships through proactive outreach and follow-up
- Engage customers in person, by appointment, and virtually
- Assess and attend to customers’ banking needs
- Obtain and process customer and account information
- Demonstrate and educate clients on deposit, loan, digital, and self-service products and services
- Recommend solutions based on customers’ goals and needs
- Greet clients and process basic transactions
- Open new consumer and business accounts
- Complete service requests and submit credit applications
- Develop collaborative partnerships with branch team members and partners
- Leverage resources and technologies to optimize the client experience and operational accuracy
Requirements
What you’ll need- High school diploma or equivalent
- Client Relationship Consultant 2: typically a minimum of three to four years of job-related, retail banking experience or a combination of experience and commensurate training
- Client Relationship Consultant 3: typically a minimum of four to five years of job-related, retail banking experience or a combination of experience and commensurate training
- Client Relationship Consultant 4: typically five or more years of job-related, retail banking experience or a combination of experience and commensurate training
- National Mortgage Licensing System (NMLS) registration under the terms of the S.A.F.E. Act of 2008 and Regulation Z
- Required NMLS registration process includes a criminal background and credit check
- Must maintain a satisfactory criminal and credit record for NMLS registration
- Ability to build and foster relationships with clients through proactive outreach and follow-up
- Ability to effectively engage and communicate with clients
- Knowledge of applicable bank and branch policies, procedures, and support systems
- Knowledge of retail banking products and services
- Customer service and interpersonal skills
- Experience using and demonstrating digital products and self-service technologies
- Ability to identify customers’ needs and make appropriate recommendations
- Experience participating in sales campaigns/promotions for higher levels
- Must comply with U.S. Bank policies and procedures, including the Code of Ethics and Business Conduct and workplace conduct and safety policies
