About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Build and foster relationships with clients through proactive outreach and follow-up
  • Ask questions and learn about customers’ financial needs and banking channel preferences
  • Identify solutions for new and existing clients based on their needs
  • Engage and communicate effectively with clients through in-person, appointment-based, and virtual channels
  • Maintain working knowledge of consumer and business banking products and services, including digital products and services
  • Greet clients and process basic transactions
  • Open new consumer and business accounts
  • Complete service requests and submit credit applications
  • Educate clients on emerging and self-service digital products and services
  • Develop collaborative partnerships with branch team members and partners
  • Leverage available resources and technologies to optimize client experience and operational accuracy

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Client Relationship Consultant 2: typically a minimum three to four years of job-related, retail banking experience or a combination of experience and commensurate training
  • Client Relationship Consultant 3: typically a minimum four to five years of job-related, retail banking experience or a combination of experience and commensurate training
  • Client Relationship Consultant 4: typically five or more years of job-related, retail banking experience or a combination of experience and commensurate training
  • National Mortgage Licensing System (NMLS) registration under the terms of the S.A.F.E. Act of 2008 and Regulation Z
  • Required NMLS registration process includes a criminal background and credit check
  • Proven ability to build and foster relationships with clients through proactive outreach and follow up
  • Ability to effectively engage and communicate with clients
  • Thorough knowledge of applicable bank and branch policies, procedures and support systems
  • Proven customer service and interpersonal skills
  • Experience using and demonstrating digital products and self-service technologies
  • Ability to explore and identify a customer’s true needs while leveraging a digital first mindset
  • Demonstrated basic proficiency in making appropriate recommendations that meet customer needs reactively and proactively
  • Experience in the financial services industry preferred
  • Bilingual in English and other languages encouraged to apply
  • Ability to comply with U.S. Bank policies and procedures, including the Code of Ethics and Business Conduct and related workplace conduct and safety policies
