About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Handle and grow a complex portfolio of loans
  • Prospect for and close new business relationships
  • Retain and expand relationships with existing customers
  • Sell appropriate bank products and services to prospects and clients
  • Identify and capitalize on One U.S. Bank opportunities and make appropriate referrals
  • Expand and service large and highly complex customer relationships
  • Lead all aspects of client relationship management
  • Drive customer dedication, quality, accountability, loan and deposit growth, and fee income growth
  • Work with Consumer and Retail clients with revenue greater than $500 million

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in finance, accounting or other related field
  • Typically 10 or more years of banking experience
  • Subject matter expertise and experience working with clients in the consumer and retail sector
  • Excellent sales management and business development skills with demonstrated results in supporting business development initiatives and driving new client acquisitions
  • Considerable knowledge and experience in managing and growing a large portfolio of mid and large corporate clients
  • Demonstrated experience in building relationships and credibility with internal stakeholders (portfolio management/credit risk management/product partners)
  • Strong knowledge of bank loan market (i.e., terms, pricing) and comfort with credit underwriting
  • Experience with traditional bank operating products (treasury management, corporate card/payables, capital markets, trust and custody)
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Well-developed analytical, decision-making and problem-solving skills
  • Required to hold or obtain SIE, Series 79, and Series 63 licenses within 180 calendar days of start date
  • Applicants must comply with U.S. Bank policies and procedures, including the Code of Ethics and Business Conduct and workplace conduct and safety policies
