About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Cultivate clients’ trust through customized service and access to U.S. Bank’s resources and expertise
- Handle and grow a complex portfolio of loans
- Prospect for and close new business relationships
- Retain and expand relationships with existing customers
- Sell appropriate bank products and services to prospects and clients
- Identify and capitalize on One U.S. Bank opportunities and make appropriate referrals
- Expand and service large and highly complex customer relationships
- Lead all aspects of client relationship management
- Drive customer dedication, quality, accountability, loan and deposit growth, and fee income growth
- Work with Consumer and Retail clients with revenue greater than $500 million
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor's or Master's degree in finance, accounting or other related field
- Typically 10 or more years of banking experience
- Subject matter expertise and experience working with clients in the consumer and retail sector
- Excellent sales management and business development skills with demonstrated results in supporting business development initiatives and driving new client acquisitions
- Considerable knowledge and experience in managing and growing a large portfolio of mid and large corporate clients
- Demonstrated experience in building relationships and credibility with internal stakeholders (portfolio management/credit risk management/product partners)
- Strong knowledge of bank loan market (i.e., terms, pricing) and comfort with credit underwriting
- Experience with traditional bank operating products (treasury management, corporate card/payables, capital markets, trust and custody)
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Well-developed analytical, decision-making and problem-solving skills
- Required to hold or obtain SIE, Series 79, and Series 63 licenses within 180 calendar days of start date
- Ability to work from a U.S. Bank location three or more days per week
- Applicants must be able to comply with U.S. Bank policies and procedures including the Code of Ethics and Business Conduct and related workplace conduct and safety policies
