About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Manage and grow Insurance Premium Finance (IPF) credit relationships in partnership with Relationship Managers
  • Partner with internal and external clients to retain and expand existing customer relationships and support aligned growth opportunities
  • Fulfill underwriting requirements and provide accurate, timely, conclusive credit memos
  • Perform due diligence on prospective borrowers and new opportunities and assist with initial reviews
  • Coordinate with Credit Risk Management and other groups to ensure consistent, concise credit documents and streamlined workflows
  • Participate in credit approval discussions
  • Participate in joint client calls with relationship managers, clients, and advisors
  • Perform timely covenant compliance and collateral valuation updates
  • Assist with legal counsel review and accuracy of credit agreements
  • Assist relationship managers with loan structuring while managing risk

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor's degree, or equivalent work experience
  • Three to five years of relevant experience
  • Thorough credit underwriting knowledge with experience in complex individual underwriting
  • Thorough understanding of credit standards, policies, procedures, and government agency compliance (Reg B, H, O, etc.)
  • IPF product experience preferred but not required
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Well-developed written communication and verbal presentation skills
  • Ability to work effectively with individuals and groups across the company to manage customer relationships
  • Aptitude to work on several time sensitive deals, projects and tasks at one time in a fast paced environment
  • Ability to comply with U.S. Bank policies and procedures including the Code of Ethics and Business Conduct and related workplace conduct and safety policies
