About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Conduct in-depth reviews of high-risk customer profiles for regulatory and internal risk-standard alignment
  • Analyze customer information and activity patterns to identify risk indicators, inconsistencies, or gaps
  • Validate documentation and data accuracy against enhanced due diligence expectations
  • Assess customer risk profiles and provide well-reasoned recommendations
  • Document findings and support conclusions with analytical rationale
  • Partner with Compliance, Operations, and Business Line teams to resolve questions and issues
  • Escalate unusual or potentially suspicious activity to investigative teams
  • Identify process-enhancement opportunities and support continuous improvement
  • Manage a dynamic review queue by prioritizing work according to risk, deadlines, and business needs
  • Support U.S. Bank's KYC, AML, BSA/AML compliance, and customer risk management programs

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor's degree, or equivalent work experience
  • Typically more than two years of applicable experience
  • Strong critical thinking and problem-solving abilities
  • Ability to research internal and external information and identify accurate answers through self-directed review
  • Clear, effective written and verbal communication
  • Ability to manage time, organize work, and balance competing priorities
  • Comfort working with data, including identifying patterns and drawing insights
  • Collaborative mindset and willingness to work across diverse teams
  • Self-motivation and ownership of work
  • Openness to feedback and a coachable mindset
  • Agility and adaptability in a fast-changing environment
  • Commitment to integrity, sound judgment, and ethical decision-making
  • Ability to work from the U.S. Bank location listed three or more days per week
