About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Perform validation on customer remediation events in accordance with the Customer Remediation Policy
  • Analyze data from customer remediation events
  • Use SQL database queries to pull data from SQL Server, Oracle, and Netezza
  • Use SAS, Excel, Toad, pgAdmin, Visual Studio Code, or similar data tools to transform and analyze data
  • Compare data with an initial population created by the business to challenge accuracy and completeness of populations, remediation calculations, and totals
  • Partner with the business through remaining milestones and the remediation process until event completion
  • Execute population and milestone testing during validation
  • Review and test remediation population data to validate complete and accurate populations and calculations provided to customers
  • Challenge business line data processes
  • Validate data extraction, population verification, and financial calculations

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent work experience
  • Typically more than six years of applicable experience
  • Strong knowledge of SQL performing queries to extract and transform data from multiple database sources and structures
  • Experience with Oracle, MS SQL Server, PostgreSQL, and Netezza
  • Proficiency with SAS Enterprise Guide
  • Experience extracting, transforming, analyzing, and presenting data
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel knowledge, including ability to manipulate and modify data through formulas and BI tools
  • Power Query and VBA
  • Two or more years of experience in testing, audit, and/or an applicable risk management environment
  • Knowledge of PCS, CPTS, and/or MPS systems and merchant processing and/or retail credit experience
  • Ability to work well under minimal direct supervision while managing multiple simultaneous projects
