About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Lead a division or segment of sales professionals across Washington, Oregon, Idaho, Utah, Arizona, Colorado, New Mexico, Wyoming, and Montana
  • Drive new-to-bank client acquisition and deepen wallet share across existing clients
  • Deliver end-to-end Treasury Management and Payments solutions
  • Hire, develop, lead, and hold accountable a team of high-performing sales professionals
  • Assist with the design of new services and development of sales strategy
  • Sustain profitability and growth of the division
  • Provide regular performance result updates to appropriate stakeholders
  • Provide strategic direction and leadership to achieve division objectives
  • Create and maintain cost-effective programs
  • Coordinate strategy, tactics, and sales approach with relationship management and functional partners
  • Lead a performance-driven sales organization by setting expectations, measuring outcomes, coaching leaders and teams, and reinforcing accountability
  • Ensure compliance with the U.S. Bank Code of Ethics, Anti-Money Laundering, Bank Secrecy Act, information security, and suspicious activity reporting requirements
  • Maintain awareness of relevant laws, regulations, internal policies, and procedures

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Ability to engage effectively with large, sophisticated commercial clients operating across multiple geographies and product needs
  • Proven capability to lead and develop teams, including direct management of managers
  • Ability to build and scale complex businesses, driving sustained revenue growth and market share gains
  • Strong understanding of technology enabled treasury and payments solutions
  • Deep expertise in Treasury Management services, including liquidity and investments, receivables, payments, commercial cards, merchant services, and trade
  • Well-developed leadership and strategic management skills
  • Strong knowledge of the assigned division/segment and broader industry
  • Experience managing multiple teams and typically 12–20 FTEs
  • Typically a BA/MBA in finance, accounting, or a related field
  • Typically 10+ years of experience in financial services
  • Typically 8+ years of management experience developing sales teams
  • Ability to comply with U.S. Bank policies and procedures, including the Code of Ethics and Business Conduct
  • Applicants must be able to comply with applicable workplace conduct and safety policies
