About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Lead technology due diligence activities for mergers, acquisitions, and divestitures
  • Develop and execute technology integration and separation strategies, including full integrations, carve-outs, TSA-based transitions, and stand-alone operating models
  • Serve as the single point of accountability for technology integration workstreams from due diligence through Day-1 readiness, stabilization, and final transition
  • Drive cross-functional collaboration across Technology, Security, Risk, Compliance, Legal, Privacy, Operations, and external partners
  • Establish and maintain Day-1 operational readiness, including user access, infrastructure connectivity, collaboration tools, security controls, and business continuity requirements
  • Manage integration budgets, forecasts, resource plans, vendor engagements, and technology investment requests
  • Identify, assess, and mitigate technology, regulatory, operational, and cybersecurity risks
  • Prepare and present executive-level updates, governance materials, risk assessments, and strategic recommendations
  • Assess integration complexity, cost, risk, and feasibility to inform deal decision-making
  • Coordinate and direct cross-functional technology teams, system integrators, and vendors
  • Manage interdependencies, resolve conflicts, and drive decision-making to maintain timelines and outcomes
  • Coordinate legal, regulatory, and approval-driven dependencies impacting close or Day-1 operations
  • Ensure required documentation, approvals, and evidence support audits and regulatory review
  • Plan and execute remediation activities for integration-related findings or risk issues
  • Act as the primary technology contact for deal sponsors, executive leadership, and integration governance forums
  • Lead end-to-end technology separation efforts, including data carveouts, system disentanglement, TSA management, and decommissioning
  • Define and manage TSA exit criteria and timelines
  • Contribute to M&A technology integration standards, playbooks, and methodologies
  • Identify opportunities to improve repeatability, speed, quality, and risk outcomes across deals
  • Mentor integration managers and project managers
  • Capture and share lessons learned to strengthen enterprise M&A capabilities

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business, or a related field, or equivalent experience
  • 8+ years of experience in technology leadership roles, including significant experience supporting mergers, acquisitions, and/or divestitures
  • Demonstrated experience leading complex, cross-functional technology initiatives
  • Strong understanding of enterprise technology environments, security, risk, and regulatory considerations
  • Proven executive communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Experience in regulated industries (e.g., financial services) preferred
  • Prior experience leading technology integrations or separations with significant regulatory oversight preferred
  • Familiarity with integration governance models, TSAs, and carveout execution preferred
  • Advanced degree or relevant certifications (PMP, ITIL, CISSP, etc.) preferred
