About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Provide end-to-end operational risk oversight for Foreign Exchange Operations
- Partner with Operations, Risk, Compliance, Legal, Technology, and Front Office leaders to identify emerging risks and drive solutions
- Monitor operational health, incident trends, control effectiveness, and remediation activities
- Act as a key escalation point for material operational, regulatory, and business issues
- Evaluate operational readiness and risk impacts associated with business, technology, and regulatory changes
- Ensure controls, procedures, and risk considerations are incorporated before implementation
- Drive challenge and oversight during change initiatives
- Analyze operational processes across the FX trade lifecycle, including Trade Confirmation & Matching, Settlement & CLS, Reconciliation & Exception Management, and Post-Settlement Investigations
- Identify opportunities for process optimization, automation, and risk reduction
- Support root cause analysis and ensure corrective actions are effectively implemented
- Serve as a trusted advisor and key point of contact for managers and team members
- Act as lead associate and primary escalation point when senior FX leadership is unavailable
- Influence stakeholders and drive alignment across multiple business functions without direct reporting authority
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience
- Typically eight or more years of related experience
- Deep understanding of Foreign Exchange products and trade lifecycle operations
- Demonstrated experience working across complex operational and risk environments
- Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills
- Experience supporting operational risk, business controls, governance, compliance, audit, or regulatory initiatives
- Knowledge of FX products such as Spot, Forwards, Swaps, NDFs, and Options
- Experience leading or influencing change management efforts
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities
- Ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical audiences
- Proven ability to influence cross-functional teams and drive outcomes
- Experience working with senior leaders and executive stakeholders
- Ability to work from a U.S. Bank location three (3) or more days per week
